THE HOUSE - LES COLLINES, LAURAC LE GRAND
Situated on the Southern, sunny perimeter of the village, our house is secluded and yet is part of a close-knit helpful village community.
The house is on three floors, with the front door opening from the Grand Rue (all of about 12 houses) on to the second floor, where there are four bedrooms and four bathrooms. |

A spacious living area of 56 square meters facing South and West is integrated to allow for easy living and cooking. Glass sliding doors can be opened as much or as little as you want and lead you on to the terrace, 32 square meters, where the floor is flush with the rest of the living area. Therefore you can eat outside on the terrace or half in and half out with the greatest of ease and the minimum of carrying food from the kitchen. |

The kitchen is fully equipped with a very large fridge, electric oven, microwave, electric fast reaction hob, dishwasher, double sink and separate vegetable sink. It is all very pretty, practical and time saving. The sitting room has very comfortable armchairs and sofas and coffee tables. |

From all parts of the living area and terrace you have this really stupendous un-interrupted view of the woods and meadows, as if they are part of the room. Pigeons bill and coo on the terrace and the birdsong is marvellous. There is a Jotul, the best woodburning stove, and logs are there for your use. On the television you can get BBC, ITV and other channels. There is also a DVD player. You can hire DVDs nearby which are in English, but not the titles on the outside. There are masses of books for your use. |

There are wooden floors throughout and the terrace has a wooden decking surface, which is in our view, is very much nicer than tiles. On the landing,14 square meters, there is a free-standing freezer and a fridge to cool wine in thus leaving one masses of room in the fridge. Also on the landing there is a lavatory and and washhand basin. |

There is an expandable outside table with chairs on the terrace together with casual outside seating, sun-loungers for sun worshippers and gas barbeque. The terrace looks down towards the pool. |
There is a very large ground floor with stairs down to it from the entrance hall. This was the stables for the house and the original hay racks are still there. Now it contains a utility area with a clothes washing machine, sink and a walk-in hot drying room. There is a door from this area which opens on to a small back road where a car can be parked for unloading purposes and which is also one of the ways to the very pretty garden and pool. |
